The Space
The Andi Matheny Acting Studios space has a working black box theater with 43 dedicated comfy theater seats and room to add more. The stage plus seating area is 20 x 28. The theater is equipped with LED lights run by a top of the line light board - the ETC Nomad.
There is a backstage/prop room for actors to dress and store their props as well as an additional back room area.
There is also a reception lobby and full working kitchen with refrigerator and microwave oven for catered events.
We have a dedicated room for video tape auditions, complete with professional-quality soft box lights.
On the outside, our acting studio is covered with murals by renowned artists Andrew Spearman, Michael Vazquez, Hoxxoh, and Erik Jones, sponsored by the St. Petersburg Shine Mural Project.
Parking is available in a lot in the back of the studio. There is parking allowed on the east side of 23rd Street, on 1st Avenue South and many other areas around the studio. (Please do NOT park in The Bikery parking lot on the east side of the building toward Tropicana Field.)
