Act ALIVE
The Act ALIVE exercises were developed in the Andi Matheny Acting Studios as a way to accelerate the students' understanding of the organic nature of TV and film acting.
They combine mining the actor's personal experience with applications of pragmatic technique. As a result of this groundbreaking approach, the actor gets on their feet and connected to scripts quickly!
What you learn:

- How to unlock your superpowers to maximize your casting potential
- How to analyze scripts for specific genres
- How to personalize and create magical moments in your auditions
...and that's just the beginning!
The Act ALIVE classes provide ongoing scene study plus self-tape and audition technique. The sessions are offered in six-week segments. The more sessions you attend, the deeper your scene work will become, and the more prepared you will be for a working actor career.

Mission
We are on a mission to created working actors! Actors with no previous experience have booked roles on TV shows like Ozark, David Makes Man, Bloodline, Good Girls, Tell Me a Story, The Right Stuff, films like Jurassic World, Hidden Figures, Mrs. Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, Gifted and many more!

ACT ALIVE - Summer 2024
starting Saturday, June 8 for six weeks
1:30 - 4:30pm ET (10:30a - 1:30pm PT)

This session will feature foundational exercises using your personal life to connect to scripts plus improvisation
AND will include beginning self-tape techniques.
Actors new to the Andi Matheny Acting Studios are encouraged to start with this class.

Class size is limited for maximum personal attention!
Class instructions and confirmation will be sent approximately seven days before class start.
No agent referral necessary - actors of all experience levels welcome.

Build your acting muscles in this dynamic class where "work" feels like play! We will be using a combination of Act ALIVE techniques and exercises to explore scripts from TV and film to expand your tool box and transform you into a working actor. Each class also offers career guidance on casting, marketing materials and more. Experienced actors, continuing Act ALIVE students and new students welcome!
