New students enroll in the Act ALIVE program, which provides invaluable tools to quickly connect to scripts and helps the actor find their unique qualities that make them irresistible to casting. This program offers benefits to experienced actors as well, who may be in a booking rut or have difficulty finding the emotional truth in certain types of scripts. (For more on the Act ALIVE program and class schedule, click here.)
There are many options for experienced actors that are offered periodically throughout the year. Our Working Actor classes focus on everything from auditions, demo reel footage, marketing materials and much more. We're currently offering Conquer the Co-Star where you get a three-week workshop focusing on booking small roles that build your resume.
We are now offering an Industry Professional series, when we'll occasionally host industry professionals in our classes to provide our students with valuable information about casting and other essential information. For more info, please click here!
QUOTE OF THE WEEK!
Love finding actor quotes that reinforce the work we do! One of the key exercises in our Act ALIVE program is all about this:
"I cherished all the smaller scenes where they’re just eating Chinese food together or brushing their teeth. So, those things to me are the weave of the fabric that makes the explosive things matter. It’s why people give a crap when we break up. It’s because he always holds my briefcase while I’m going out the door. It’s because we brush our teeth and make jokes. And all the way through it, our characters support each other." - Rhea Seehorn, Better Call Saul
